Is There a Way to Get My Property Tested For Free?
No. Mold inspection and testing services require a high degree of expertise and experience to perform correctly, and laboratory fees for samples collected are usually the bulk of the cost of a mold inspection.
Are Petri Dishes or Other Low Cost Sample Methods Reliable?
No. Petri dish samples do not provide a comprehensive profile of your indoor air, and no interpretation can be made regarding airborne mold spore counts, the presence of non-viable spores, or the source(s) of the mold(s) identified in the samples.
Is a Mold Inspection Necessary?
Mold inspections aren’t always necessary, especially in the case of widespread visible mold growth or water damage. But in many cases, mold growth can be hidden or tricky to find, which in those instances it is helpful to have a professional mold inspection performed.
